As it is a Christmas present I should consider wrapping and extra details to add to the festive Christmas theme, I think these small details will make the gift extra special and will add to the personalized touch of the gift. Obviously will need the client to see the paintings before she gives them as a gift so perhaps not actually wrapped but potentially a boarder around the frame using paper cut such as in the images below...

This would look weird if I was creating the paintings on canvas but she wants them on good quality thick paper so this could work. My main focus will be the paintings but once they are done I will try out this idea and see if it fits well with the piece. Also I am not sure if she would want to use her own frame or if I would provide them, I may want to buy some cheap plain white ones so that I can photograph the final pieces in a way that I want in order to document them in context.
